Paul Field’s new Art Innovators franchise is gaining quick popularity. The art enrichment program, which opened in the Fall, is already providing after school art classes to over a dozen schools in the Waterloo, Ontario area.
With a background in social work and at-risk youth, Field like to incorporated art into his approach and practices. “I have always found the act of creating art to be very therapeutic and believe that it is an amazing way for children to express their emotions in a non-threatening way,” says Field. “With Art Innovators, I can offer art programs to any age in any program/association or community. Art Innovators encourages problem solving, builds confidence and inspires creativity – for all!”
In addition to offering art classes in elementary schools as afterschool programs, Field will also be offering classes for toddlers, preschoolers, teens, adults and senior citizens. Art Innovators’ schedule for a March break camp and summer camps will be posted in its web site in the coming weeks. Parks and recreation programs, fundraisers, birthday parties and in-school field trips are also available. Field is also running free programs for at-risk youth in alternative schools.
